Lazzarettos of Dubrovnik

Lazarettos of Dubrovnik are a unique historic venue located just outside the Dubrovnik city walls, in the area called Ploče. This complex of buildings was once used as a quarantine station for the Republic of Ragusa. Particularly, in the 17^th century, it was the largest commercial transit centre on the Adriatic and one of the best organized quarantines in the Mediterranean.
